WILLIAM JOSEPH MITCHELL
William J. Mitchell passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016. He was a man who loved life and made everyone feel better by just being around him. He was a proud member of the United States Marines and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Bill is survived by Carol Mitchell, his wife of 50 years; his son, Robert Mitchell of Boynton Beach; daughter, Bonnelyn MacDonald, wife of Andrew MacDonald, both of Newbury, MA. Beloved by his five grandchildren, Carolyn MacDonald, Madelyn MacDonald, Duncan MacDonald, and Abigail and Anthony Mitchell. And his two sisters, Gail Martell Gratten, wife of Doug Gratten of Ocala, FL and Joanne Bray, wife of Lawrence Bray of Duxbury, MA and Bill's three nieces, Melissa Bray Nugent, Jessica Bray Erickson and Amanda Bray North.
There is a ceremony at the South Florida National Cemetery (Lane #3) on December 8, Thursday, at 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life to follow at the VFW Post 5335, 500 NE 21st Avenue, Boynton Beach 33435. Wherever you are at that time, please say a little prayer for him to help him on his way.
For those of us who knew and loved him, he will always be remembered with happiness and respect for the fun and generosity of spirit he brought into our lives.
