On Friday, January 29, 2016, Bill passed away peacefully in Boynton Beach, Florida. He resided in Boynton Beach and Carlisle, MA, and spent many years raising a family in Lincoln, MA . He was born on March 12, 1922 in Bronx, NY. He leaves his beloved wife Virginia J. Martini, who were happily married for 68 years. Bill proudly served in the US Army during World War II in Belgium, France, and England. He was recently awarded with the French Foreign Legion of Honor Medal among several other medals received during his service. Bill worked for F. Schumacher & Co. in New York City and Boston, MA. in a career spanning 44 years, starting as a fabric cutter and was Regional Vice President when he retired. Of his many hobbies golf was his favorite, which he enjoyed for 60 yrs. at Nashawtuc CC in Concord, MA. He was a founding member of Nashawtuc, and played until October 2015.

He is survived by his loving children Barbara Bardsley, and her husband Donald of York, Maine, Donald Martini, and his wife Lori of Bedford, MA, Steven Martini, and his wife Lisa of Carlisle, MA, Richard Martini, and his wife Janet of Carlisle, MA, Susanne Martini of Amesbury, MA, and, Nancy Martini-Sattin and her husband Steve Sattin of Carlisle, MA. He also leaves 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicola and Catherine (Sproviero) Martini, who immigrated from Naples, Italy in the mid 1880's to New York, and his two sisters, and two brothers.

There will be Military Honors followed by a Prayer Service at the South Florida Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 4, 2016. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
