William B. "Bill" Bowden, Jr.
Age 71 of Elberton, GA went to his heavenly home July 20, 2015. He had lived in Elberton for the past 10 years moving there from Arcadia, FL. He retired after 37 years from U.S. Sugar where he had worked at the cattle division. After moving to Elberton, he and his wife Hazel enjoyed horses and attending horse shows. Bill was the oldest son of Bill and Elizabeth Bowden.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Marie Bowden, stepchildren, Lance and Jackie Bliss, Charles and Terry Bowling, and Lorena Mills, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 4 great grandsons. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Michael W. (Gloria) Bowden, Henry (Sylvia) Bowden, 2 nieces, Tia Nicole Bowden, Melissa Bowden Steward, 1 nephew, Bryant Bowden and 4 great nieces and nephews.
Bill and Hazel had 2 dogs, Snow and Sweetie that will miss him terribly. Bill will be remembered for his love of God and Country and that radiant smile. He will be missed by all.
The Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Clewiston, FL where he will be buried next to his mother and father.
