William Edward Bolger, 82, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away at home on October 11, 2022.

Born March 1, 1940 in the Inwood section of Upper Manhattan< New York. Billy attended OL Queen of Martyrs and Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. He graduated from Iona College where he played both basketball and baseball.

Billy coached all three of his sons in basketball and baseball where he served as a director for the CYO program. Billy was very active in their parish Marriage Encounter program. Billy enjoyed spending his summers at the family cabana on Malibu Beach in Long Beach, NY. He also spent many summers at their summer home near LBI. Billy also enjoyed playing golf with friends when he moved to Florida. Billy worked his entire life in the beverage industry in sales for RC Cola, 7-Up and Tropicana.

Billy will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Joan of 60 years, his living children; Gregory (Barbara), Michael and Andrew (Jennifer). Billy also leaves behind 5 loving grandchildren; Danny, Tim, Michelle, Abby and Greg. Billy is survived by his younger brother Jimmy (Maeve) and will be reunited with his parents Elizabeth and Edward as well as his brother John.

Billy lived a long and fulfilled life. He was most proud of three things that were so near and dear to his heart…his faith, his family and his friends….lifelong friends that share so many special memories.

A Funeral Mass in memory of William will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 11:00 at St Marks Catholic Church 643 NE 4th Avenue Boynton Beach, Fl 33435. There will be a reception immediately following the Mass at Leisureville Clubhouse 2 1800 SW Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of William Bolger to the SJPII Academy Lacrosse Team. The address for the school is 4001 N Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida 33431. Checks can be made out to the school itself and put Boys Lacrosse can be put in the memo.
