Wes Ferrell
November 26, 1927 — September 20, 2013
Wes Ferrell age 85 of Boynton Beach, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013.
He was born in West Virginia, the son of the late Wallace & Fay Ferrell, served in the US Army and
graduated from Marshall University and Nova University.
Coach Ferrell retired from Atlantic High School in 1984, where he taught physical education,
Drivers education and was football coach for many years. He was also involved in real estate in the
Boynton Beach and Delray Beach area, and received a Realtor of the Year Award.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; several nieces and a nephew and their families.
He was preceded in death by his 3 sisters and their spouses and his beloved cousin, Joe, whom he
thought of as a brother.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at
Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, Corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach,
Where service will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by entombment and full military honors at the
Boynton Beach Cemetery Mausoluem. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to
Marshall University or the First Presbyterian Church, 235 SW 6th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida
