Tom was born January 17, 1941 in Michigan to the late Lawrence Vincent Gmyrek and Ann Margaret Boury Gmyrek and passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Lake Worth, Florida. Born and raised in Michigan and is where he would meet his wife of 56 years, Patricia. Tom eventually set roots in Delray Beach, Florida where he spent the last 25 years of his life. He was a selfless and generous man who lived his life for his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He was a man of many talents, skills and qualities and he leaves a legacy and example of what a husband, father and friend should be.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Kirby; 3 sons, Steven Gmyrek, Daniel Gmyrek and Brian (Molly) Gmyrek; grandson, Billy Blackman; and sister, Julie (Dennis) Chappell.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 643 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach, Florida. Those who wish may make a donation to
