Theodore G. Morakis was born on February 10, 1936 and passed away on January 18, 2019. Theodore, aka “Teddy” was a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida at the time of passing.
Theodore was born to parents George and Anna Morakis in Antiparos, Greece. He finished school with a 6th grade education and went to work on the Merchant Marine ships at the age of 14 which is how he came to America. He moved to Florida and worked with the Palm Beach County School Board where he retired early. After retiring Teddy Morakis formed 2 new companies called “Morakis Moving and Delivery” and “M & M Appliance” in the Boynton Beach area.
He is survived by his wife Vera Camforovici, his children, George Morakis (Kathleen), Anna Maria Morris (Scott), Michael Morakis (Marsha), and Katina Lynn Alsaqqa (Nick), his grandchildren, Michael Kenneth Kartrude, Kristina Marie Kartrude, Michael Theodore Morakis, Marshall Morakis, Jacob Morakis and Jessica Engle. Siblings, Spiros Morakis, Francisco Morakis, Armelina Zandides, Cornelia Morakis, and Manolis Morakis
Friends will be received on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 9 AM until Service time at 11 AM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. 1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. A Committal Service and burial will follow at the Boynton Beach Memorial Park. All are welcome to a reception to follow from 1-5 PM at 829 Shore Drive, Boynton Beach, Florida 33435.
