STANLEY V. BUKY
Stanley V. Buky of Boynton Beach passed away March 16, 2014 at age 59, surrounded by family and friends. Stan graduated from Avondale High School in Atlanta, GA in 1972. After graduation, he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 4th round and enjoyed a minor league baseball career before starting college.
Stan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University in 1977. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1980, “Go Gators”! Stan practiced law in South Florida for over 34 years. He was a member of a number of professional organizations including the Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Justice Association, Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, and Partners for Prosperity. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Boynton Beach.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Vernon “Bud” Buky, who passed away in 1979 and is survived by Cindy Buky, his loving wife of 16 years, his beloved dog, Max, mother Carol Cheney and stepfather Benjamin “Irv” Cheney of Jasper, GA, brother Brad Buky and wife Sue of Dallas, TX, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach.
