SEBASTIAN “SAM” CATALANO
Sam enjoyed 70 years of a life well lived. Sam passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 17, 2018 in Lake Worth, Florida. Sam was born in Lawrence, MA on June 26, 1947 to Nicholas and the late Rose Catalano. He was a successful businessman in Massachusetts and Florida where he owned Sam’s Steak Out and Lobster World respectively. During the Vietnam War he served his country in the Navy, commissioned on the U.S.S. Forrestal.
To Sam the most important things in his life were always his family and his friends. Sam will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 35 years, Maureen Catalano, his children, Nicholas Catalano, Derek La Chance and Julie Baker, grandsons, Tyler and Justin Baker, his father, Nicholas Catalano and his sisters, Rosalie Catalano and Grace Marie Saffie, and her husband Michael. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. If you ever met Sam you know his welcoming smile and loving nature. He will be missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL.
