Sally Lynn Carey Bergener
62, of Lantana, FL passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2022 with her husband, Kurt, by her side, after a long battle with Diabetes and failing health.
Born February 6, 1960 in Alliance, OH. Sally moved to Boynton Beach in the mid 1980’s and worked at Publix for 27 years. Sally loved bowling with Kurt on many leagues over the years, in addition to being pretty darn good around a pool table. Sally was a big football fan, rooting for the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State.
Sally loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her loving husband Kurt. Deeply in love and inseparable, they would actively seek out adventures and looked forward to a long and happy life together. Sally was a giving, caring, selfless soul. She had a great sense of humor with a generous heart of gold, never failing to help anyone in need. She loved electronics games, roller coasters, travel and especially fireworks.
Sally will be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years, Kurt Bergener, their daughter Samantha (Jesse) McDonald, grandchildren Blake, Jacob, Isaac, Chael and Emberlyn, Sally’s brother Tim Carey and sister Barbara Manzi. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Pearl Carey, and her brother Bruce Carey.
A memorial service will be held at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home on July 9, 2022 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sally Bergener to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) at https://www.diabetes.org/ .
