Ruth M. Edge

RUTH PARSONS EDGE
Ruth was born in Detroit, Michigan to Albert Parsons & Gertrude Parsons. She was the Valedictorian of her high school, Redford High, of over 1000 students and was a graduate of the University of Michigan.
On November 3, 1950 she married Robert Ernest Edge and they lived in the Detroit area until 1972 when they moved to Palm Beach County and Bob joined his brother’s Architectural Firm. In 1973, they bought their home in Ocean Ridge, Florida where she lived until her passing.
Ruth was constantly involved in volunteer work. She was an Ombudsman for Nursing Homes for the State of Florida for many years and was heavily involved in her church. She was a very giving person.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert and is survived by four nieces and two nephews.
The Cryptside Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum, 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Boynton Beach or Hospice of Palm Beach County in Ruth’s memory.
