Roy Barrington Forrester
Kind and Loving Gentleman was born Jamaica West Indies on August 11, 1931 to his mother Lillian and his father Shadrach..
He came to the United States in 1947 and he enlisted in the United States Army in 1952 where he served 2 years on the front line in the Korean War. He received three purple hearts for his bravery and dedication to our country.
He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1956 and he remained there for 20 years, making his total time in the armed forces “ 22 years ,9 months and 52 days” …. As he would say. He would spend the majority of that time sharing his expertise of Meteorology.
Upon retiring from the Air Force, Roy joined the Jamaican Board Casting Company in Kingston Jamaica and he became the Chief Meteorologist and delivered the weather report on the air for Jamaica and other Caribbean countries. Roy was a household name in Jamaica and in the states as well.
Roy leaves behind his loving companion Barbara Aft , Daughters Adrienne and Lisa, Granddaughters Brittney, Lauren, and Shari, Emily and Ella, Great granddaughter Scarlett and Great grandson Syryker. His brother,Audley, and the host of nieces and nephews. Roy had a loving relationship with his companion, Barbara daughter Lisa, and her daughters, Emily and Ella. Many friends, fans and admirers will also feel left behind.
Roy was greatly loved and highly respected by all that had the honor and pleasure to know him..
