Ron was born on August 27, 1939 in York, PA to George and Ruth (Fisher) Brickner. Ron graduated from William Penn High School and joined the Air Force in 1958. He was an Airman 2nd Class and served as an Aircraft Control and Warning Operator in the 4635th Support Squadron at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake, WA until 1962.

Ron was gregarious and always had a story to tell. He had a great sense of humor and a tremendous work ethic. Ron was involved in sales throughout his lifetime. He loved math, watching old westerns, boxing, and football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his beloved and devoted wife, Fay, of 24 years; his daughters, Lori Brickner of Tempe, AZ and Elizabeth Deatrick, and his son, Walton “JR” Deatrick both of Delray Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Desiree’ Wikels and Austin (Rebecca) Fisher, his four great-grandchildren, his sister, Coleen R. Brickner of York, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved and valiant son, Vincent P. Brickner, his sister Carol A. Stambaugh, and his brothers, Barry L. Brickner and Jody C. Brickner.
