Roger E. Medema Sr.
January 14, 1931 — February 11, 2017
Roger E. Medema, Sr., age 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2017. He and his two elder brothers, John and Clarence, had many successes in Chicagoland’s home building industry throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Roger later served as President of Medema Builders, Chairman of JFK Medical Center Foundation, and was the developer, owner, and operator of The Palm Breezes Club in Lantana, Florida from 1987 to 2011. He was also a contributing member of The Triangle Club in West Palm Beach, FL.
He is survived by, and loving father to his sons, Roger, Jr. (Linda), Thomas (Karen), daughter, Sandra and son, Michael (Margaret); dearest grandfather of 10 and fond brother-in-law to John Bakker (late Lorraine), Donna (late Ken), and brother to late Neil (Winnie), Clarence (Bea), John (Edythe). Also surviving is his former wife, Shirley J. Medema, the mother of his four children.
