ROBERT E. McHENRY
age 87 of Boynton Beach passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.
Bob was born April 9, 1931 in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania to the late Harold and Grace McHenry. He was raised in Chester, Pennsylvania and graduated from Chester High School in 1949. After graduation, Bob joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise; son and his wife, Bobby and Debbie McHenry; 2 grandchildren, Christine and Erin Flickinger; sister, Barbara Goodale. Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Patti Flickinger and his brother, Lennis McHenry.
Friends will be received Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 12 Noon until Service time at 1:00 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. A Committal Service with U.S. Navy Military Honors will follow at 2:15 PM at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth (Lane 5). Those who wish may make a donation to TrustBridge Hospice in Bob’s memory.
