He is survived by his wife, Janet Whalen of Lantana; sons, Richard (Megan) Whalen; daughter, Lori (Michael) Nelsen; stepdaughter, Amy Jorgensen; brother, James Whalen; sisters, Patricia, Nancy, Edith & Marilyn and 4 grandchildren.
The Prayer Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, FL (Lane #3).
