Richard Strauss passed away on July 25th after a long and hard fought battle with a debilitating and degenerative disease. Richard spent most of his 53 years bravely fighting to overcome many physical, as well as numerous other challenges.
Richard was born in Queens, NY on April 1st 1965. He spent his school years growing up in Marlboro, NJ where he made many good friends, some of whom remained loyal to him through the years. He attended Brookdale Community College where he earned an AA in accounting.

Rich was a loving, generous and unique person and anyone who was lucky enough to really get to know him, recognized that.
Richard’s passion was baseball cards since childhood. His favorite baseball team was the NY Mets and he owned many hats and t shirts to prove it. He had an extensive collection of model antique cars which he proudly displayed on the window sill of his room in the nursing home where he resided for the last 12 and a half years of his life. He also loved working on the computer and was always eager to learn more and more about technology.
