RICHARD P. DOERER
Richard P. Doerer, formerly of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, passed away May 12, 2016, with his loving family by his side. He graduated with a master degree from the University of Michigan. Richard was CEO of Van Dresser Corporation, served in the army and was an accomplished musician. Richard enjoyed travelling throughout the world and was a pilot himself. He was fluent in French, an avid tennis player and dog lover. Richard was a generous benefactor of the arts and enjoyed adding to his personal collection. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dotti, and daughters, Nancy (Bill) and Julia (Stephen) and sons Richard and John (Laura), 10 grandchildren, and his dog Maddy.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:15 PM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 So. State Road #7, Lake Worth (Lane #5) conducted by Rev. Martin Zlatic of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, Boynton Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society.
