Rafael Nunez Torres, 85 of Delray Beach, Florida (formerly of Lares, PR and
Chicago, IL), peacefully entered his heavenly home on May 30, 2020. Born to
Anastacio Nunez and Maria Torres on November 27, 1934, in Lares, Puerto Rico. He
was a hardworking small business owner of Rafael Produce until his retirement in 1999.
The family was the joy of Rafael, he treasured the time spent with his family teaching
them good values, telling stories, jokes, and singing songs. He enjoyed drawing and
building miniature houses that will be cherished forever. He loved playing dominos and
going on his daily trip to buy FL Lottery and scratch-off tickets.
Rafael, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather will be truly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita Torres, loving daughters Leonor
Torres (Solomon), Margie De Leon (Luis), Doris Rangel (Luis), Juanita Dunn (Jay),
Martha (Patricia), and Maria Torres. Grandchildren, Jose’ Rosalez III, Luis Rangel Sr.,
Rafael Rosalez, Gabriel Rangel, Anthony Rossodivito, Miguel Diaz, Roberto Cruz,
Bianca Cirilo, Maria Rossodivito, Jaiden Seda, and Andy Jr. Cruz. Great-grandchildren,
Luis Rangel Jr., Ryan Rosalez, Leila Rangel, Amelia Rosalez, Angelina Rangel. He is
also survived by his siblings and extended relatives both in Puerto Rico and the
mainland all of whom he loved dearly.
