Peter William Crane, 88, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. Born on November 25, 1937, in New Rochelle, New York, he was the beloved son of John Louis Crane and Muriel Teresa (Power) Crane, and lovingly raised by his stepmother Genevieve (Quinn) Crane after Muriel’s early passing.

Peter was a proud graduate of Nyack High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the National Guard. He possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and was an information technology enthusiast long before most people knew what "IT" was. A true technology geek, Peter embraced innovation throughout his life while building a successful career through his ingenuity and determination.

Above all else, Peter was a devoted family man. In the most recent year, Peter lovingly cared for his "partner-in-crime," (and mother to his 4 daughters), Jean Crane, sharing love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He had a quick wit, a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor, and an ability to make those around him smile. He was also a passionate New York Mets fan whose loyalty to his team never wavered. Peter found great joy on the water and loved boating. He proudly owned two boats, both affectionately named The Four K’s, where he created countless cherished memories with family and friends.

One of Peter's greatest accomplishments was maintaining 27 years of sobriety. He was deeply grateful for his Alcoholics Anonymous family, whose friendship, support, and fellowship meant the world to him. His journey served as an inspiration to many and reflected his strength, perseverance, and gratitude.

Peter is lovingly survived by his partner-in-crime, Jean Crane; his daughters, Karen Tedesco, Kathy Thompson, and Kimberly Crane; his sister, Genevieve Crane Hart; his grandchildren, Timothy Brown, Toni Lynn Delgado, Luis Delgado, Bianca Quazada, and Gianna Quazada; his great-grandchildren, Avery Brown, and Legend Calloway; his niece, Susanne Crane Cianfoni; his nephew, Christopher Crane; and his faithful cat, Fluffy, (aka “The Fluffster!”)

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and brother, John Crane, his beloved daughter, Kelly Crane, and by his cherished grandson, Louis Tedesco, who will surely greet him in heaven and will be there to welcome him home.

Peter will be remembered for his sharp intellect, infectious humor, steadfast love for his family, faithful service to others, and the countless lives he touched through friendship, kindness, and encouragement. His legacy lives on in the family he treasured, the friends he inspired, and the memories that will forever be held close by all who knew and loved him.

Though he will be deeply missed, those who loved Peter find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those who went before him and that his spirit will remain with them always.
