PAUL TIDWELL, JR.
Paul Tidwell, Jr. 80 of Delray Beach passed away quietly October 27, 2014 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. He will be remembered as the President of Tidwell Plumbing, as a Little League Coach, enthusiastic sports fan, and as an avid outdoorsman, but mostly, he will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was the most important part of his life.
Paul was born to Paul and Toy Tidwell in the small town of Jasper, Alabama on October 23, 1934. He was the oldest of 5 children. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Paul made his way to South Florida where he met his wife of 59 years, Eva Lou. Together they founded Tidwell Plumbing, Inc. in the early 60’s. He worked there for the better part of 50 years.
In addition to his business, Paul was most proud of his grandchildren. His world revolved around them. They called him “Dixie Papa”.
Paul is survived by his wife, Eva; son, Danny (Lauryl) and Dwight (Liska); grandchildren, Molly (Phillip), Lindsay (Ryan), Dylan and great grandchildren, Caroline, Faith, Emery, Tristan and a baby girl due Spring 2015.
Private family services were held.
