Patricia J. Schmitt

Patricia J. Schmitt, age 86, died on Friday, October 12, 2018 in Boynton Beach surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Jon and Charlotte ( Kobel) Shannon. She was 1950 graduate of St. Josephs Catholic High School. She married Carl. A. Schmitt on September 12, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY. She worked in the banking industry for 25 years before retiring to South Florida. Patricia lived her life as a devout Catholic always putting others needs in front of her own. She enjoyed bowling and was on a woman’s league for many years. She lived her life to the fullest through traveling the world, enjoying nights out bellying up to the bar and she would be the first person to give toast, “ Here’s Looking up Your Address”. She is survived by her son Jon and wife Sonia, daughter Lisa and husband Phil, grandchildren: Alex, Carly, Steven and Phillip and cousin Tom. The Schmitt family would like to extend our gratitude to all of the staff at Grand Villa Nursing home in Delray for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
