Michael Peter Lanier, 79, died February 3rd, 2026.

Mike was born on January 15th, 1947, in Lake Worth, FL to Eleanor and Grover Bock. He was later adopted by his stepfather, Lewis Lanier Jr. He married Mary Wike on July 4th, 1970. They had two children, Andrea and Michael.

Mike worked for Florida Power & Light from 1970 – 2013, and coached baseball at Delray National and Atlantic High School for many years. He was also an avid hunter of deer and turkey.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea and son, Michael; granddaughter, Ryan, and grandson, Jake. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.

A Visitation will be held from 5;00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at SCOBEE-COMBS-BOWDEN FUNERAL HOME, Boynton Beach.

A Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please  gather in Lane #1.

A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at 12 Noon at the Delray Beach Elks Lodge and Pineapple Ballroom, 265 NE 4th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483.
