MICHAEL P. HANEY
age 63 of Lake Worth passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home. Michael was born June 23, 1955 in Washington, D.C. to the late Jack and Virginia McKinney Haney. He graduated from Hayfield High School in Alexandria, Virginia, attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and graduated from Gainesville.
Michael had been an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot but his true love was acting and film. While living in California for 12 years he was involved in the Thespian community and performed at the Playhouse West and participated monthly in a play entitled “Welcome Home Soldier”. Locally he was an Acting Instructor for Palm Beach Acting School and he received awards for teaching and directing. Michael was a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild. He was loved by his many students.
Michael is survived by his longtime fiancé, Debbie Cooksey; brother, Stephen Haney; sister, Tricia Brackett; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2108 at 1:30 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach.
