Mary Naples (“Teri”) of Delray Beach Florida passed away peacefully on December 20th surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Daniel and Mary Agnes Connolly and granddaughter of Francisco Martinez, former Governor, Secretary of Defense, and Surgeon General for Ecuador. Teri graduated from Fordham University and received her Masters from Wagner College. She taught High School English for 14 years in the New York school system before becoming a realtor after moving to Connecticut. In 2003 Teri and her husband Robert moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Teri continued to enjoy tennis and volunteering at local schools reading to children. Throughout her life she enjoyed classical music and all types of art. Teri’s pride and joy was her two grandchildren, Kailey Elizabeth (22) and Ross Robert Carpenter (18). She adored them both, and was happiest spending time with them. Being “Nanny” was by far her favorite role in life.
Teri is predeceased by her sister Beatrice Jaramillo. Teri is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter and son-in-law Lara and Joseph Gerrish, her grandchildren Kailey and Ross Carpenter, Michael Gerrish, her sister Grace Caporino of New York, her brothers Patrick Connolly and John Connolly of Washington, Daniel Connolly of Spain, and Francis Connolly of Indiana, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on December 30th at St. Marks Catholic Church 643 St. Mark Place Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
