MARY ROSE (SPINALE) COSTA March 10, 1923 – February 14, 2024
Mary (our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend) was an extraordinary gift to everyone who knew her. Mom always made people feel at home and shared many acts of kindness throughout her long life. She was born in Boston on March 10, 1923. With her husband Dominic, she made the transition to Boynton Beach, FL in 1983. She passed away peacefully in Boynton after suffering a stroke on February 14, 2024.
Mary’s energy and creativity were expressed through her love of dance, exercise, gardening, sewing, and cooking. No one ever left her house empty-handed or with an empty stomach. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Mark’s Church for many years.
She is survived by three children, Martha Kurpeski, Boston, MA, Joanne Costa, Boynton Beach, FL & Rochester, NY, Joseph Costa (Stacia), Manhattan Beach, CA, grandchildren, Rachel Ingemi (Mark), Dedham, MA, Ritchard Kurpeski, Boston, MA, Dominic J. Costa, Witchita Falls, TX, Charlie Costa, Lincoln, NE, brother-in-law Jerry Madison, Hollywood, FL, great-grandchildren Melissa, Ingemi, and Isabella Ingemi, Dedham, MA, and many nieces and nephews and good friends. Pre-deceased by her husband Dominic C. Costa, sisters Grace Grosso (Mark), Lena Madison, and brother Joseph Spinale (Norma), Boston, MA.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial to be held at the South Florida National Cemetery, Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:30 am, Lane 1.
