Martha Janet Woolbright Mills
Janet Mills passed peacefully from this world to the next on Thursday April 14, 2016. She was born in Cuthbert, Georgia on January 4, 1934 to Beryl M. and Nellie P. Woolbright.
She was in banking for 47 years and retired as VP/Ass’t Controller of SunTrust South Florida.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Batz (Paul) of Alabama and Becky Ocello (Charlie) of Loxahatchee; two sisters, Marie Woolbright of Alabama and Patricia Franklin of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was pre-deceased by one son, John A. Mills and one daughter, Brenda K. Mills, her parents; two brothers, Beryl M. Woolbright, Jr. and Thomas Edward Woolbright III; two sisters, Virginia Roman and Wynelle Stephens and a grandson-in-law, Jason Gummerman.
She touched the lives of many with her loving ways and generosity.
There will be a graveside service Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11AM at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to Big Oak Ranch, 205-467-6226 or a children’s charity of your choice.
