“Marty”
Martha L. McPherson, affectionately known as Marty, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the age of 80.
Marty was born August 31, 1945, in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Ozzie Lunsford and Nellie Mae Lewis Lunsford.
In addition to her parents, Marty was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Byerly McPherson Jr.; her brothers, Jim & Shorty Lunsford and her sister, Lois Stutts.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Scott & Shelby Lunsford; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her longtime friends, Terry Reynolds, Diane Roe and Martha Sharp.
A Committal Service will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida (Lane 3).
