Mark Allen Constantino
passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday December 18th. He was born in Alton Illinois to Frank and Wilma Constantino. He moved to south Florida when he about 18. He married his best friend, Renee Peacock Constantino on January 2, 1993. They were married for 22 years. Their beautiful daughter, Teriann Rae was born on May 19, 1999. She was his and continues to be the light of Renee’s lives. Mark was very close to his older sister Terry and brother-in-law Teresio considering them always as two of his closest friends. His mother Wilma has been an extremely active and supportive part of his life and was especially so during these last years.
Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer September 14, 2015. The time he had to reach out to family and friends was short, but he did as much as he possibly could. He was a tremendous substance abuse therapist touching so many lives in the 25+ years he worked in the field. He found great joy and comfort as a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Delray Beach and was baptized with his daughter in April 2003. Mark’s culinary skills were legendary to everyone he knew and nothing made him happier than being able to feed friends, family and strangers. But what he really shone in was his incredible love for people. His capacity to help others in need was equally well-known. There was not a soul he did not extend his hand to whenever he was able to help them. He was loved by all as deeply as he loved them. He will be greatly missed.
His memorial service will be held on January 23rd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Delray Beach Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice.
