Marina Anna Biagioli was a generous and loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world suddenly on February 13, 2022 at age 77.
Marina was born to Anselmo and Maria in Bergamo, Italy on August 15, 1944, during the Allied Liberation of Europe. Marina was educated at a Convent in Northern Italy, and emigrated to the United States to join her parents, living in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, NY.
In the Summer of 1959, Marina was naturalized and very proud to become a United States Citizen. She met her husband Adrian Biagioli at their family-owned business, “Just Right Food Market” on Wilson Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. They were married on June 27, 1964, and together they raised their three children: Alex, Lorna, and Vanessa.
Marina was the owner and designer of Wedding Belles LLC., a bridal boutique specializing in the restoration and creation of custom bridal veils and headpieces. Marina loved to cook; creating delicious culinary masterpieces for her family and friends. Every Sunday, the extended family would gather around the dining room table for a traditional Italian dinner, sharing stories, and drinking homemade wine. Marina took pleasure in gardening, and lead several gardening committees. Her adventurous spirit took Marina and Adrian to many countries throughout the world. Marina enjoyed all types of music, and had a passion for opera. The sounds of classical music filled their home, and on hot summer days could be heard from down the street.
Marina is survived by her husband Adrian, her children Alex ( Kim Ruane-Biagioli), Lorna (Tom Penny), Vanessa (Jason Dittrich), her grandchildren Adrian, Francis, Isabella, Charles and Gabriel.
Wake and funeral arrangements in New York are pending.
