MARIE CAROLINE LENGERT
entered the company of Heaven on 21 May 2014, where she joins her daughter Donna Dann who predeceased her. Marie is survived on this earth by her devoted husband, Harry Lengert; daughter, Sharon Hansen, residing in Inverness, Florida; and daughter, Kim L. Lengert, residing in Robesonia, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and many friends. In regards to the number of years she spent on this earth, Marie would say "age is only a number and mine's unlisted".

First known for her love of her family, Marie was active in the Lutheran faith and a long time member of Ascension Lutheran Church where she had been a Eucharistic Minister, Chair of the Hospitality Committee, performed in shows, and was involved in other activities. Marie was always the spark in any gathering, conversing with everyone she met, noted by her friends not only locally but throughout the world, met through her extensive travels with Harry in their motorhomes, or her sister Shirley Jaskiewicz and friends.

Formerly residing in northern New Jersey, Marie and Harry loved the mountains and would spend the Summers with their daughters in the north, most often in Pennsylvania. Marie loved cooking for family gatherings and neighbors, always bringing food to those who were ill or alone. Marie was always “on the go”: She loved to walk around the neighborhood visiting friends, shop for her grandchildren, enjoy the casino, dance, and - especially during her younger years – would try anything once.

Marie experienced both the joys and pains of our human existence: mere words cannot express the fullness of life that enjoyed and shared on this earth, nor can they express the sorrow of her absence. May the faith she shared guide us to heaven where we will laugh once again.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2929 South Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach.

Safely Home
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over.
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth -
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
