Marianne Frances Tolhurst, 86, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away at her home on Monday night, March 7, 2016 after a short illness. She was attended by her family.
Born on November 7, 1929 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Harry and Ethel Fitzpatrick, she attended Nazareth Academy. She lived in Rochester until moving her family to Boynton Beach in 1972.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Lyle Tolhurst, and is survived by her sons Harry Scott Caskey, Todd Tolhurst, Lyle Tolhurst and Mark Tolhurst; by her sister, Joan Becker, and her grandchildren, Amy Caskey Giles and Heston Tolhurst.
Marianne was unfailingly kind and thoughtful, whether in raising her own family, or with those she met through her various helping occupations she held during her life. She never hesitated to extend herself to assist, support, or nurture anyone in need.
Her years were long, and her heart fierce in love, loyalty and kindness. She was courageous, possessed an indomitable will, and was smart as a whip. May the world see more like her.
