Margaret "Margot" Copeland Profile Photo
Margaret (Margot) Mary Waldmann Copeland, of Boynton Beach, Florida was born on November 5, 1934 in Waukegan, Illinois to Dr. Louis F. Waldmann, Sr. and Anastasia (Anne) Sullivan Waldmann. She is predeceased by her older brother Lou. Margot attended Sacred Heart in Lake Forest and graduated from Lake Forest High School. She then pursued her degree at St. Mary’s of Notre Dame. Margot had several editing jobs in Chicago after graduation but her most memorable was with different travel agencies where she was able to take many overseas trips and crossed the Atlantic on the Queen Mary. Margot met her soulmate and husband, Jay Copeland in Chicago. They had many adventures living in Chicago, Pennsylvania, and finally Florida. After Jay passed away, Margot and her close group of friends remained active in the community and active with many charitable groups. Margot continued her love of travel by rafting in the Grand Canyon and visiting friends and family. She attended St. Matthew Catholic Church in Lake Worth, Florida. Margot is survived by her sister-in-law, Muriel Waldmann; her nephew Louis, III; her two nieces, Alisa and Amanda; and her dear friend, Felipe. Please make any donations in her memory to your favorite charity to care for cats and kittens, one of her great loves.
A graveside ceremony will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery on a date to be determined.
