LINDA A. (KNOX) HOFFMAN

We mourn the passing of Linda Hoffman in Boynton Beach, Florida on January 29, 2025. Linda was 81, born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and taught elementary school in McKean, Pennsylvania for more than 30 years. Some years after retirement, she and her husband moved to Florida.

She was a graduate of Kent State University of Ohio and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Linda and her husband ran a small antique business for 10 years. She was a computer whiz, loved sewing and completed numerous quilts.

Highly active in her community, she helped with many projects and was Vice President of the Home Owners Association.

Linda took helping people quite seriously. She encouraged the development of a local community food bank, would distribute food that had been collected to those in need and to local churches. She was a great problem solver for many, and always was willing to lend a helping hand.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald and her loving children; Amy, Nathaniel (Kati), Daniel and Laurel; her sister, Susan (Don) Humbard, and her nieces, Donna, Missy and Susan Rae and her grandniece, Charley, and her dog, Lucy, who never left her side.

Linda was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to so many. She listened and her compassion was unbounded. Honest and vibrant, she will be missed by many.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date. Donations may be made to Project Linus, P.O. Box 1548, Balten, Missouri 64012 ( www.projectlinus.org ) or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284 ( www.heart.org ).
