Leo was a loving husband, father, papa and great-papa. He was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Leo had 2 brothers Frank and Ralph. Frank is with us today and said Leo was a very good brother and a honest man. He served our country and was in the army during the Korean War. After the war he worked at his father’s Texaco station. Leo was the president of the New Swan Ramp. Leo and his brothers went on to own a 6 level valet parking ramp in downtown Buffalo serving employees, sports fans and restaurant patrons for more than 40 years. He always had a love for vehicles. He was proud that during his lifetime he owned 24 brand new cars. Leo loved his family. He was married for 53 years to Lorraine. They had 3 children Gail, Lisa and Leo Michael. Leo and Lorraine lived primarily in Amherst, NY and eventually moved down to South Florida. Leo had 3 grandchildren Stephanie, Ryan and Brooke and one great-grandchild Brielle. He would attend his granddaughter’s dance recitals, even a National competition in Orlando, FL. He attended his grandson’s little league baseball games and hockey games. During a global pandemic he even traveled to Memphis, TN to celebrate his great-granddaughter’s first birthday. Leo loved sports. He played football and basketball at Bennett High School in Buffalo, NY. He loved the NY Yankees and would look forward to watching the games. He also loved his hometown teams the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Leo would find joy in going to the casino and taking an annual trip to Las Vegas and he especially enjoyed every Wednesday going to breakfast with his grandson, Ryan. Leo took pride of his heritage, he was an Italian man and he absolutely loved Italian food. Leo always had a smile on his face. He was mentally sharp until the day he passed. In the words of his favorite singer Frank Sinatra, “I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way”.
