Larry W. Melear age 62, of Lake Worth, passed away Friday February 21st, after a brief illness.
Larry was raised into a family with deep roots in the dairy business in Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County - Melear Family Dairies. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 19 years Nancy. He is also survived by his brother Mike Melear of Louisiana and son Wayne Melear of Delray Beach. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Tyler and Carrilla Melear of Boynton Beach.
Larry worked in the family dairy business and was proud of his heritage which launched his real estate career. Once the dairy ceased operation he re-zoned the land for residential development which is near Lawrence Rd, Gateway Blvd and Miner Rd today. Larry continued managing rental properties and attained his Real Estate Broker’s license. Larry worked for Coldwell Banker for the past 17 years in management and sales positions in Boynton Beach and Wellington. Larry won numerous Diamond and Sterling awards for his outstanding sales results.
Larry loved golfing, diving, fishing, boating, motorcycling and his dogs Putt Putt and Pippi. Larry lived life to the fullest and had so many friends that will miss his fun loving personality and easy going style. Larry will live on forever through wonderful memories and photos we all will cherish.
Larry is also survived by his in-laws, John and Carolyn Williams of Boynton Beach, brother- in- law David Williams, wife Mindy of Kent, Ohio, sister- in-law Beverly, husband Larry Storey of Delray Beach. Larry will be greatly missed and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many more from his large family network.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church,101 N Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, Florida on Friday March 7th @11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his memory to the First United Methodist Church or charity of your choice.
