KENNETH R. SOLOMON
October 2, 1935 – April 24, 2017
Kenneth R. Solomon of Vero Beach, FL passed away on April 24, 2017 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was 81 years old. Born in New York City, Ken received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1957. His highly successful career as a research and design engineer spanned more than 40 years. He contributed to ground breaking developments in diverse technical fields, which included satellite communications, ultrasound diagnostics and high definition television. After retiring from his own company IST in 1998, Ken resided in both Vero Beach and Sag Harbor, NY. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 56 years, his daughter, Laura Becker, his sons, Ken and Thomas Solomon and his daughter in law, Claudia.
Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a Prayer Service to be held at 3:00 PM. The Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Crestlawn Cemetery, 1341 Old Dixie Hwy., Vero Beach, Florida.
