KENNETH GEORGE MINNEMA
age 86 of Boynton Beach passed away Saturday, February 28, 2016. Ken was born February 5, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Harry & Helena DeHaan Minnema. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and an avid Nascar fan. Ken and his wife, Ann retired to Boynton Beach in 1992 coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann E. Minnema; brother, Harold “Herk” & his deceased wife, Marge; 2 deceased sisters, Tress (deceased husband, Bob) & Gert (deceased husband, Dewey); brother-in-law, Richard VanderKlok and his wife, Connie; 2 daughters, Amy & her husband, Timothy VanKlompenberg, Tammy & her husband, Tom Zyniewicz; deceased son, James and his wife, Angela Herring; grandchildren, Tiphani (deceased), Tara & her husband, John, Avery, Rachel, Benjamin, Sarah & Emily.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, 2101 6th Avenue South, Lake Worth with Rev. Tim Weldon, Asst. Pastor officiating. A reception will follow at the Four Sea Suns Clubhouse in Boynton Beach from 3-6 PM.
A Committal Service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:30 PM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7 (also known as Hwy. #441), Lake Worth, FL 33467, Lane 5 with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the religious ceremony conducted by Senior Pastor, Rev. Omar Ortiz of Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, Lake Worth.
