KARL ANTHONY MOHR
Age 57 of Boynton Beach passed away Monday, November 6, 2017.
Karl was born November 30, 1959 in Woburn, Massachusetts to the late Max Carl Mohr and Elena Joy Lucas Mohr. He graduated from Rockport High School in Rockport, Massachusetts. Karl managed Nu-Way Life Recovery Center in Lantana in the early 90’s. He had a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Karl had a big impact on people in recovery and he helped countless people overcome their addictions. Karl was an extreme snow skier and he used to spend many weekends golfing, in particular, at Cypress Creek Golf Course in the late 2000’s. He enjoyed reading, American history and listening to his favorite music and the artists that performed such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young and many more.
As a devout Christian, Karl devoted much of his time in the last few years to strengthening his faith by reading and studying the Bible and the Word of God.
On March 22, 1997, Karl married his loving wife, Krisztina Gyuritza Mohr followed by the birth of their son, Max Karl Mohr on August 24, 1997 and two years later they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Jillian Krisztina Mohr on August 12, 1999. Karl loved spending time with his wife and children and it was apparent that he loved them more than anything in the world.
In addition to his wife and children, Karl is survived by his 3 sisters, Pamela Mohr, Angela Marie O’Connor (Michael Eugene) and Kristine Jaeger Mohr (Greg); 2 nephews, Brandon Michael O’Connor and Max Jaeger; his uncle, Lawrence Mohr and his aunts, Lola Wojcik and Katherine Lucas.
A Celebration of Karl’s Life will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave, Boynton Beach. Karl will be laid to rest in the Summer of 2018 in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Rockport, Massachusetts.
