KARL J. HARTEL, SR.
Age 88 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Karl was born March 17, 1935 in Nyack, New York to John and Marie Hartel. Karl was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a Mechanical Engineering degree. After graduation, he served many years in the National Guard. After many years of living in New York and New Jersey, Karl and his wife Marianne moved to Boynton Beach, Florida to retire. Karl enjoyed his career and he missed it. A job opportunity was offered to him to be a Purchaser for Hypoluxo Plumbing which he happily accepted and he remained employed there until his passing. Everyone at Hypoluxo Plumbing was his second family.
Karl is survived by his loving children, Diane and Karl Jr. (Ruth), his doting grandchildren, Kimberly, Diane, Nicole, Anna, Christopher, Jessica and Samantha and his great grandchildren, Ariana, Giovanni, Courtney, Onyx and Trever, his niece Carole, and nephews, Michael and Tom.
He was predeceased by his wife Marianne, son John, parents John and Marie, brothers John and Fred and sister Madeline.
Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana, Florida.
