Josephine Joan Bachelder, 86, of Key Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, in Tavernier, Florida. Born on November 18, 1938, in Coney Island, New York, Josephine dedicated her life to serving others as compassionate and hardworking nurse’s aide in the health care industry.

She resided in Fort Salonga, New York & Ocean Ridge, Florida, where she made her home at The Dunes of Ocean Ridge. Josephine's career and life were marked by her commitment to caregiving, bringing comfort and dignity to those in need. She spent her final days at Oasis at the Keys Nursing & Rehab, surrounded by the care and respect she so often gave to others.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Walter Fredrick Bachelder, son Frank Edward Sullivan, and her parents, Nicolas Spinelli and Frances Filoramo Spinelli. She is survived by her beloved daughter Sally Marie Sullivan Dimone of Key Largo, Florida: who held her dear and ensured her wishes were honored and her sons, John Louis Sullivan of Naples, Florida, Patrick Michael Sullivan of Wilmington, Delaware and her loving sisters Marylou Azzara of Long Island and Jeanette Martino of Virginia Beach.

Josephine will be laid to rest at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Crematory in Boynton Beach, Florida. Her life and memory will be cherished by family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kind heart and tireless devotion.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who knew Josephine (Joan) to share a memory or offer a gesture of remembrance in honor of her generous spirit and lifelong service.
