John “Morgan” Edward Wright, Jr. (90 years young) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 26th at his home in Boynton Beach. Born and raised in Halethorpe Maryland, he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Morgan moved to Roanoke Virginia, Miami Springs Florida, and Boynton Beach Florida while working for 35 years at Kraft Foods as an Office Manager.
Morgan was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 46 years Ella Mae (Draper) Wright. He faithfully served at his churches in each city and was actively involved in singing choirs, hand bell choirs, committees, and served as Financial Secretary. Morgan was quick-witted and loved bowling, working with numbers, playing Club Pogo on the computer, watching sports, game shows, and other forms of TV entertainment. His passion was talking to everyone he met about his life stories and trivia.
Morgan is survived by his son J. Morgan E. Wright III, J.’s fiancé (Kerry), and three grandsons John (Melia with great grandson Keoni), Brooks (Rannah), and Patrick (Mary Kate with great granddaughter Maura). Morgan is also survived by his daughter Andrea Wright-Reardon, her husband (Dan), and his fourth grandson (DJ). Morgan is survived by his cousin Betty Zirkle and his girlfriend of the past 11 years Debbie Peterson.
