JOAN M. O’BRIEN
Age 88 of Lake Worth passed away August 8, 2014. Mrs. O’Brien was a Registered Nurse for Mercy Hospital in Rockville Center, New York for over 35 years. She was a Past President of the Lake Worth Drove of Does/Elks and had been a resident of Jamaica Bay of Boynton Beach for over 25 years.
Mrs. O’Brien is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Robert) Burnell; 2 sons, Joseph E. (Karen) O’Brien and Kevin M. (Sherry) O’Brien; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren + 1 on the way.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Interment will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery.
