Age 87, passed peacefully on January 22, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, George, and sons, Thomas and James. Family was at the heart of Joan's life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her children, George (Laura) Eklund, John (Meg) Eklund, Mary (Robert) Black, Christine Eklund and her partner Robert Rodriguez, along with her 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joan leaves behind many adoring friends including her faithful and loving caregiver, Pauline Palmer. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 28, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 643 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
