69 of West Palm Beach passed away Monday, October 13, 2014. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War and then graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Piter then reenlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Panama Canal. Dr. Piter then established and opened his Dental Practice in Juno Beach serving his patients for over 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elaine; daughter & son-in-law, Suzanne & Erik Smith and their children, Colin & Ashton; and son, Philip W. Piter. Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seagull Industries for the Disabled, 3879 Byron Drive, Riviera Beach, FL 33404 in Dr. Piter’s memory.
