Jeanne graduated from William Carey College in MS in 1976 with a nursing degree. She spent the next 35 years as an intensive care nurse in New Orleans and Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The number of lives she saved and people she comforted in their final moments are countless.
Jeanne’s artistic ability was exemplified by the many needlepoint creation she made which were truly works of art. She said her artwork kept her sane after caring for so many seriously ill and injured patients. Jeanne was a cat person, and her latest pets, Annie and Winks, brought her great joy. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, Richard Francis and Gloria Elizabeth Hattier, and her older sister, Gai Elizabeth Jellison. She is survived by her brother, Richard David Hattier, of Boynton Beach.
Jeanne’s friends said that to know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed. No services will be held due to illness and distance. Donations, if any, can be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League of West Palm Beach.
