Jean C. Miller, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on February 15 at the age of 82. Jean was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Raymond and Virgie Hopper. Jean was happily married to Jack Miller for 8 years. He was the love of her life and her soul mate until his death in 1985. She worked in sales for the Boynton Beach Shopper and Delray Beach News Journal for many years. She then became the executive secretary to Ed Morse at Ed Morse Cadillac in Delray Beach until her retirement. Jean is survived by her three children, Jeannie (Tess) Martin of Cumming, GA, Don (Helen) Martin of Villa Rica, GA, and Doug (Susie Ferguson) Martin of Douglasville, GA. She also has three loving grandchildren, Sam Martin, Kyle Martin and Emily Martin. She is also survived by her brothers, Raymond (Betty Ann) Hopper of Brandon, MS, Mark (Peg) Hopper of Langston, AL, and her sister Gwen Lee of Germantown, TN. Jean thrived in “her” Florida where she loved the sunsets, balmy breezes and blue skies. In addition to her family, she will also be missed by her friends in Woodlake. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 3:00 PM with visitation from 2-3 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach, Florida. Burial will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
