JANICE “Jan” YVONNE (GOINS) RICHARDSON
Jan Richardson, 78, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 17, 2022.
Born November 22, 1943 in Patterson, Virginia, to Albert & Watie Goins. Jan moved to Washington DC after high school where she worked for the phone company as an operator before meeting and marrying her husband Al. Jan then became a homemaker and raised five daughters. She went back to work with AT&T and worked until shh retired. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jan loved to read and be with her family, always with one of her daughters or spoiling one of her grandchildren. After retiring she and Al spent part of their time in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia where she was born and raised.
Jan will be forever missed by her husband Albern “Al” of 58 years, her loving daughters; Dana (Regan) Hall, Marsha (Mike) Morakis, Wendy (Brian) Lulfs and Cindy (Ray) Hilling, her 9 adoring grandchildren; Zac, Adam, Daniel, Michael, Marshall, Abby, Luke, Jacob & Matthew; her sister Loretta (Dominic) LaRosa, brothers Floyd Goins and Albert Goins and numerous nieces and nephews. Jan is predeceased by her daughter Christy Richardson; sisters Ruth Horn & Annette Goins and both parents.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 6 p.m. at the Church of Christ of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach.
