Jack Joseph Masella Sr. passed on Friday November 11, 2022 at the Delray Beach Medical Center with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.
Born in Milburn, NJ on March 22, 1935, Jack graduated from Manasquan High School in Manasquan, NJ and later ran a luncheonette in Spring Lake Heights, NJ before relocating to West Virginia in 1976 to be closer to family. He worked as a cook in the Virginia Tech dining halls for over 20 years before retiring.
Those who encountered Jack found out very quickly he was easy to get along with and adored his family. He spoke often and lovingly about his grand children affectionately known as the Little Pipper, Brennoochi and Scooter; and liked nothing more then talking with or spending time with them and watching them grow into amazing individuals. Jack was also fond of telling everyone he met that he went to high school with Jack Nicholson.
Jack will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Ronald Masella of Venice, FL; Son Jack Jr., wife Mary and grand son Connor of Delray Beach, FL; grand son Brennen Weikle, wife Tarah and step son Pacey of Narrows, VA; and grand daughter Brooklyn Kelley and husband Tyler of Narrows, VA; and son in law Elwyn Weikle of Peterstown; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Christa and his daughter Monica Weikle nee Masella.
Jacks’ post life wishes which are to be cremated are being handled by Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time.
