IRVING P. MAURER
Age 96 of The Villages, FL died on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. He was born in the Hudson Valley, NY on September 29, 1919.
Irving served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked at IBM until his retirement in 1985. Irving was married to his high school sweetheart, Irene Doyle for 60 years until her death in 2001. He has resided with his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Charlie Montafia since then. They all moved to The Villages in 2007.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Dianne and son-in-law, Charlie and his great granddaughter, Gabriella Montafia Rodriguez of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Elizabeth Maurer, his 3 brothers, Edward, Russell and Edgar Maurer. His twin grandsons also predeceased him; Michael Montafia in 1984 and Dominic Montafia in 2004.
Mr. Maurer also leaves his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Maurer and Ruth Doyle and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Boulevard, Delray Beach, Florida followed by interment at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum.

A Memorial Mass officiated by his grand nephew, Father Jeffrey Maurer will be held at a later date for his family in Port Ewen, NY.
